for 1855, with 7 1/2in. octagonal barrel signed 'ADDRESS COL COLT LONDON.', London proofs, plain cylinder with roll engraved scene stamped 'COLT'S PATENT' along with the serial number, open iron frame signed 'COLT'S PATENT', iron grip-straps and trigger-guard bow, plain walnut smooth one-piece grip and articulated under-barrel rammer, all iron surfaces re-blacked, together with a UK market fitted oak case, compartmented and lined in green baize, the inside of lid with parchment 'Colt' label, the case containing a flask, mould, oil bottle, cleaning rod and cap-tin, all period to the pistol and almost certainly associated
